Breaking the Cycle
Free Yourself From the Story That’s Holding You Back
“Jenny Schatzle is not a game-changer, she is a life changer.”
- Cat Cora, First Female Iron Chef
The story you’ve been living isn’t your life sentence.
Have you ever wondered why you keep repeating the same patterns? Why you continue to seek validation, stay stuck in self-doubt, or return to behaviors that no longer serve you?
In Breaking the Cycle, Jenny Schatzle shares her raw and deeply personal journey through addiction, perfectionism, body image struggles, and the search for self-worth. Through honest storytelling and powerful reflection, she reveals how the beliefs we inherit can quietly shape our choices, relationships, confidence, and identity.
But this book isn’t just Jenny’s story. It’s an invitation to examine your own.
With practical insights and thought-provoking exercises, Breaking the Cycle helps readers uncover the narratives that have been holding them back and begin rewriting them with greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and courage.
Because the story you’ve been living isn’t necessarily the truth.
It;s simply the story you’ve been told.

Why I Wrote This Book
For years, I believed if I could just lose the weight, achieve more, be more, do more, then I would finally feel enough.
But no matter what I accomplished, that feeling never lasted.
What I eventually realized was that the problem was never my body, my circumstances, or my achievements. The problem was the story I had been carrying about who I was and what I needed to be in order to be worthy.
Breaking the Cycle was born from my own journey through addiction, perfectionism, body image struggles, self-doubt, and the painful process of learning how to let go of the beliefs that were keeping me stuck.
I wrote this book because I know what it’s like to feel trapped in patterns you can’t seem to break. To feel like you’re living the same story over and over again, even when you desperately want something different.
My hope is that this book helps you recognize that the story you’ve been living isn’t necessarily the truth.
It’s simply the story you’ve been told. And what has been learned can be unlearned.
You are not your mistakes. You are not your past. You are not broken. You are worthy of a life that feels free, authentic, and fully your own.
If this book helps even one person stop fighting themselves, reclaim their worth, and believe in who they already are, then every page was worth writing.
